Hi!

I’m Konpal, founder of Wielding Words Workshops, where I make creative, critical and experiential learning more accessible.

I’m an alumna of Miranda House, DU, Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai, and Bar-Ilan University, Tel Aviv. I hold an MA in Creative Writing, which I received on a 100% scholarship, and have worked across advertising, PR, journalism and legislative research.

Today, I’m an educator. I design and teach courses in critical thinking, communication and creative writing for schools and colleges — courses that go beyond simply learning what to think, and help students learn how to think differently.

My Approach to Learning

Academic rigour
I believe creativity works best when it has something to push against. My approach combines an understanding of the frameworks behind a subject with the freedom to question, challenge and think beyond them.

Creative practice
I teach students how to generate ideas, not simply reproduce model answers. We experiment, make connections, look at things from different perspectives and learn by doing.

Personalised coaching
No two students think in exactly the same way. My 1:1 sessions are built around your strengths, weaknesses, thinking patterns and goals — so we can work on what you actually need.

Exam strategy
Sometimes, a few good strategies can make all the difference. I help students understand not just the content of an exam, but how to approach it — where to spend time, what to prioritise and how to make their thinking work for them.
